MHP Technology Launches SB StretchBasic in the US Market, Bringing Low-Cost Canvas Automation to PRINTING United Expo in Las Vegas
BERLIN, Germany — MH+P Technology GmbH (MHP), the global pioneer in automated canvas stretching and frame assembly, has officially announced the US market debut of its highly anticipated SB StretchBasic canvas stretching machine. The new low-cost automation system will make its North American premiere at the PRINTING United Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, taking place from September 23–25, 2026.
The MHP SB StretchBasic is engineered specifically to democratize automation for artist canvas manufacturers, wall-art decor providers, and photo-canvas printers. Built to bridge the gap between inefficient manual hand-stretching and capital-intensive heavy industrial equipment, the SB StretchBasic delivers high-precision, mechanical tensioning at an accessible price point.
This machine is completely pneumatic requiring 7 bar dry air pressure – no electricity needed.
Key Features of the MHP SB StretchBasic:
- Flexible Profile Handling: Can accommodate stretcher bar profile heights from 15mm to 40mm.
- Rapid Format Adjustments: Hugely flexible design allows for stepless format and material height changes in just seconds.
- Accessible Throughput: Built for comfortably achieving steady rates of around 50 frames per hour.
- Versatile Sizing: Seamlessly accommodates canvas formats ranging from 8” to 40”.
- Exceptional Quality: Guarantees MHP’s signature drum-tight mechanical stretching without the need for manual corner wedges.
Attendees of the PRINTING United Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center this September can see live demonstrations of the machine. The MHP team will be available to answer questions and showcase the machine’s capabilities at Booth C211.
