DTF Super Store to Showcase Three Epson Apparel Printing Solutions in the Apparel Zone at PRINTING United Expo
Live daily demonstrations will give apparel decorators a firsthand look at DTG, DTF and high-production DTF technology
GILBERT, AZ — DTF Super Store will bring three Epson apparel printing solutions to the Apparel Zone education area at PRINTING United Expo, giving attendees an opportunity to see the equipment running in a real-world production environment throughout each day of the show.
DTF Super Store will demonstrate the Epson SureColor F2270 DTG/DTF printer, Epson SureColor G6070 DTF printer package, and Epson SureColor G9070 DTF printer package. The three systems represent different approaches to garment decoration from direct-to-garment and cut-sheet DTF production to commercial roll-to-roll DTF and higher-volume production.
“Our goal in the Apparel Zone is education,” said Terry Combs of DTF Super Store. “There’s a lot of conversation in the industry about DTF, how fast you need to print, when it makes sense to bring transfers in-house, and where DTF fits alongside screen printing, embroidery and other decoration methods. We want attendees to see these printers actually running and be able to ask questions about how the technology might fit their own businesses.”
Epson SureColor F2270 – DTG and DTF in One Printer
The SureColor F2270 gives decorators the flexibility to produce traditional direct-to-garment prints as well as cut-sheet DTF transfers. During the Expo, attendees will see the F2270 printing directly onto garments and producing DTF transfers. Kim Johnson with Paisley Jo Designs in Enid, Okla., Epson’s beta tester for this printer, will be on hand to answer your questions.
The printer provides an option for shops looking for DTG production while also wanting the flexibility to add DTF without investing in a dedicated roll-to-roll system.
Epson SureColor G6070 – Commercial DTF in a Compact Package
The 36-inch SureColor G6070 will demonstrate how DTF can serve as a secondary decoration method for screen printers, embroiderers, sign shops and other businesses that may need commercial-quality DTF production without operating a high-volume DTF department.
The G6070 package will run throughout the show at approximately 80 square feet per hour. The printer and accompanying shaker/dryer system operate on 110V power, providing a production solution designed to fit into a wide variety of decorating environments.
Epson SureColor G9070 – DTF for Higher-Volume Production
For decorators with greater transfer-production requirements, DTF Super Store will demonstrate the 64-inch SureColor G9070 in a high-production configuration.
During the Expo, the G9070 will run 48-inch-wide rolls at approximately 350 square feet per hour, giving visitors an opportunity to see firsthand the difference between adding DTF as a complementary decoration method and building a higher-volume transfer production operation.
More Than an Equipment Demonstration
The Apparel Zone is designed as an educational environment where attendees can see garment-decoration technologies in operation and talk with industry experts about production techniques, workflow and business applications.
In addition to operating the three Epson systems each day, DTF Super Store representatives will be available to discuss topics including DTF workflow, production requirements, maintenance, transfer quality, equipment selection and the decision between purchasing transfers and bringing DTF production in-house.
“The best DTF printer isn’t necessarily the biggest or fastest printer,” Combs said. “It’s the one that matches what your shop actually needs to produce. Having these three Epson systems running side by side gives decorators a chance to compare very different production levels and think about where DTF fits into their business today, and where it might fit tomorrow.”
Attendees can visit DTF Super Store in the Apparel Zone at PRINTING United Expo throughout the show for live demonstrations of all three Epson printing systems.
