Why was PRINTING United 2020 in Atlanta cancelled?

A: As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to disrupt our lives and businesses, PRINTING United and our great industry are not immune to such intrusion. It is with great disappointment to announce that we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s in-person expo in Atlanta.

The unavoidable decision comes after extensive conversations, surveys, and projections that we have been navigating since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. These conversations were held with numerous entities surrounding all aspects of the show, including the team at Georgia World Congress Center, the city of Atlanta, Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security specializing in mass gatherings and local authorities. The health and safety of all our attendees and exhibitors remains paramount.

The decision to cancel this event did not come easily and we have waited as long as possible before costs and implications will begin to impact our exhibitors and attendees. Many factors are unfortunately out of our control, including travel restrictions and federal, state, and local governmental regulations, as well as the potential for another spike in COVID-19 occurrences. These factors have made it nearly impossible to hold the event in person.
Will you reschedule the in-person event this year?

A: While recreating the experience of being together under one roof is a challenge, we can certainly do the next best thing…create a comprehensive online experience like no other – PRINTING United’s Insight Days! By combining the strengths of our combined PRINTING United Alliance and NAPCO Media organizations, we are already working diligently to launch a unique PRINTING United experience to connect attendees with exhibitors and their latest technologies. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for specific details, including dates, agenda, and programming.

We look forward to also seeing you face-to-face in Orlando on October 6 – 8, 2021 for the next in-person PRINTING United exposition.

I am a PRINTING United 2020 exhibitor. What are my current options?

A: We remain committed to bringing the industry together in 2020 – now online, together. An Expo team member will be reaching out to discuss your options starting the week of July 6th and we plan to have all meetings completed by mid-August. We greatly appreciate your patience as we personally work through contacting all 600+ exhibiting companies. The options are as follows:

  1. Transition a portion of your 2020 exhibitor commitment to our comprehensive online event – PRINTING United’s Insight Days. We will be in touch on the expansive offerings being rolled out to help spotlight your company and latest technology, to engage your clients and prospects, and to keep the industry trending upwards and moving forward!

  2. Roll funds into PRINTING United 2021, being held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida on October 6-8, 2021.*

  3. Refund of your exhibition contract. We will work as quickly as possible to issue refunds, but please note refunds are not anticipated to process earlier than Q4 2020.  

*Note: With the addition of the comprehensive PRINTING United 2020 online experience, all PRINTING United 2021 terms now revert back to the originally scheduled program (e.g. initial payment due at booking of 10% down, 40% due in January 2021, and balance due in June 2021).

I have hotel reservations through the official show housing provider, OnPeak. Who do I need to contact about that?

A: onPeak cancelled all confirmed reservations and sent an email on June 25 confirming your reservation(s) has been cancelled. If you did not receive the email, please check your spam. Your card on file will not be charged for your confirmed reservations and there is no cancellation fee. You do not need to take further action. Who do I contact to participate as an exhibitor in PRINTING United’s Insight Days online event?

A: A PRINTING United Expo team member will be reaching out to you in the coming weeks to discuss the online event and the myriad ways you can participate!

How do I register for PRINTING United’s Insight Days as an attendee?

A. If you were already registered for PRINTING United, your registration will automatically transfer over to the online experience. We may reach out to you for additional information to ensure you have a positive experience in the new environment.

If you were not already registered, you will have the opportunity to register in the coming weeks. Be on the lookout for more information about this comprehensive and insightful platform.

If I registered for PRINTING United will I get my money back?

A. If you registered for PRINTING United and paid for a registration category or ticketed event, we will be refunding your credit card in the coming weeks.  Please be patient as we process the transactions and ensure everyone’s record is handled correctly.

What if I ordered exhibit services (e.g. Shepard, etc.)?

A: Our vendors will be reaching out to you directly if you have ordered services.

Will PRINTING United 2021 take place in person?

A: PRINTING United Exposition is scheduled to take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL on October 6-8th, 2021. Priority exhibit sales placement will take place as planned August 3-7th. You will need to submit an exhibit space application to participate.
