Label City is a self-adhesive label manufacturer with flexographic printing in Karachi, Pakistan. Label City has been operating since 2004 and focuses on the pharma label market in particular. The company also provides labels to a diverse range of service and goods markets including courier and cargo, juices and beverages, hipper stores, bookstores, etc.
PKI: What made you decide to attend this year’s Expo?
AK: We are in the process of converting our operations to digital printing. In our experience, the American market is skilled at importing machines and materials. The American market will definitely let us know the latest developments in the field, which will help us to innovate our business here in Pakistan.

WFI: What made you decide to attend this year’s Expo?
Dalley: I’m not the usual Expo attendee. My perception is that most attendees will are involved in the production and manufacturing process. In my business development role, I’m interested in innovative product ideas. While I enjoy learning about leading-edge technologies headed into print shops, I take more enjoyment talking with vendors about applications they are discussing or seeing in the market. They often see things from a different perspective, and that’s valuable.

PRINTING United Expo Hot Products Spotlight: Heidelberg Gallus One Inkjet Label Press
The Gallus One will make its North American expo debut at PRINTING United 2023. This all-digital, roll-to-roll press is designed to offer a digital inkjet printing solution to flexo label converters as well as commercial printers looking to enter into label production.
The Gallus One uses Dimatix Samba printheads on print bars attached directly to the machine which can achieve levels of print quality that match those of high-resolution offset printing. The quality is achieved at a native resolution of 1,200×1,200 dpi, with a droplet size of just 2 pl and four different available drop sizes, providing a visual resolution of 2,400×2,400.

PRINTING United Expo Hot Products Spotlight: SCREEN TruePress Jet L350UV SAI Label Press
SCREEN Americas will be coming back to PRINTING United Expo 2023 with its Truepress Jet L350UV SAI digital UV inkjet label press, and some interesting surprises as well.
The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI is the third generation of their prime label UV presses. The SAI prints at 600×600 dpi with Kyocera inkjet print heads up to 12.6″ wide (322 mm), with a media width from 4″ to 13.7″ (100 to 350 mm). It supports a media thickness of 1.6 to 13.7 mil (0.04 to 0.35 mm).

Since 2007, InstantCard has been America’s first 100% cloud-based ID badge service. Hearing about all the difficulties companies were having to produce professional ID cards, we realized that there must be a better solution. Emerging cloud-based technologies allowed us to take the hassle out of the process of creating Photo ID cards. The developments since have completely validated our belief that card production via the web is far more efficient than traditional card production using either a local print-shop or in-house printing. At the core of our business is the desire to eliminate the hassle of producing a single ID card, which is common to businesses of all sizes.
