Digital printing for labels is a mature and growing market with reams of data supporting its proficiency in production. The next wave of digital packaging is aimed at Flexible and Corrugated Packaging, Folding Cartons and Displays. Over the past few years solutions have gone into the marketplace for all of these applications with production levels more than doubling year over year in some of them. Early adopters of the solutions targeting broader packaging applications are faced with making decisions with very limited and questionably accurate data. Karstedt Partners has launched a first of its kind benchmarking study that is helping early adopters identify and implement best practices and improve their production and sales operations to take best advantage of their digital investments. This presentation will describe the current state of digital for packaging with numbers that are from the trenches not from marketing materials, and will give those attending a more grounded view of what is really happening in the market.
