Join SGIA’s digital printing guru Ray Weiss and a cast of seasoned industry professionals as they provide you with knowledge needed for success in the wide-format segment. This value-priced, three-and-a-half hour session will provide an overview of the segment, and it’s many technologies and applications, and selecting the right equipment for the intended purpose. The program then continues with a results-focused discussion of color management fundamentals, helping you get a firm grasp on image quality, as well as lessons on equipment selection, employee recruitment and retention, and pricing strategies.

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM:  PDAA Pro Team Relay

Two days of competition with two person teams. There can only be one champion! Each team will have four stations to complete as a relay. Station 1 will be the quarter panel of a car, station 2 will be a rivet wall, station 3 will be a rough texture surface with a two-panel graphic to install, and finally station 4 will be an acrylic with a two-color vinyl to test alignment skills. This competition comes with a twist—individuals will register, and teams will be drawn from a hat. The first 10 registrants will be paired with an All-Star installer. Note: Registrants may request to team up with a colleague by contacting SGIA’s Christina Rosado at crosado@sgia.org.

Printers and innovators interested in functional printing (often from the Industrial Applications and Printed Electronics communities) will explore the functional printing community, a collaborative environment in which to address business needs and gain valuable insight from peers. Presenter Jamie Parker (Process + Results) will share the power of companies operating at the intersection of culture and continuous improvement. The event will provide not only a delicious meal, but a sample of the kind of programming available at the SGIA conference specifically designed to meet their needs: FP3: Functional Printing, Process & Products.

The Apparel Decorators Community Luncheon is designed by the SGIA Apparel Decorators Committee, and is a strong opportunity to meet, interact and network with your peers within the Community. Graphic production printers use wide-format, digital and screen printing to assist clients with the visual communication of their messages.
